Frozen Hearts

A deep and cold frost-bitten night

The wind stole things that held my sight

And made my heart to search within

To find the love I’d lost again

The frozen rounded edge of night

A sickle-moon held sharpened white

The pain suspended on my soul

Of love that’s never grown too old

My heart so warmed by just the thought

Of life that long for I had sought

Melts a moment of my pain

And speaks a tear of our refrain
